Chongqing’s ‘must-see’ drone light show: visiting European researchers #CGTN

The drone light show in southwest China’s Chongqing is “a must-see.” Launched earlier this year along the waterfront where the Yangtze and Jialing rivers meet, it’s become a regular event on Saturdays and major public holidays.

Thousands of drones illuminate the night sky, showcasing Chongqing’s iconic landmarks and highlighting the city’s development achievements, including its key role in building China’s New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

The mesmerizing performance has quickly become a highlight for tourists. In the audience on Saturday was a Hungarian think tank delegation.

“The drone show is so vibrant…It reflects the dynamism and energy that I can find in China,” said Kitta Gergely, director for Institutes at the Mathias Corvinus Collegium Foundation in Hungary.
