At least one killed, ten injured as Russia rains missiles on Ukraine’s Kyiv
Russia launched a massive overnight airstrike on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, raining missiles and drones across the city. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed the attack, stating that, according to preliminary reports, it caused extensive damage — breaking windows, destroying cars, and damaging several buildings. The strikes also sparked multiple fires and even damaged a kindergarten. According to reports, Ukraine’s air force managed to shoot down four of the nine missiles and 50 of the 62 drones launched by Russia. Despite these defensive efforts, the air force reported five direct missile hits and 12 drone strikes across 11 different sites in the city.
