At least 46 people have died in a major road accident involving several vehicles on the highway linking Uganda’s capital, Kampala, to the northern city of Gulu, according to police.
The crash occurred near the town of Kiryandongo, around 263 kilometres from Kampala. Police said the collision happened when two buses travelling in opposite directions attempted to overtake a truck and a car.
