Child fell off Disney cruise after mom made her pose for photo
Video shows the rescue of a child and her father after they fell overboard from the fourth deck of a Disney Dream cruise ship in June. According to police reports obtained by CBC News, the five-year-old girl fell after posing for a photo on a porthole at the request of her mother. Her father jumped in shortly after to save her before both were rescued.
A report from the Florida state attorney called the mother’s conduct ‘arguably negligent and irresponsible’ but said it didn’t meet the bar for criminal charges.
