China Reacts To Trump’s Pledge To Send Nuke Submarines To Pacific Ally; ‘Increases Risk Of…’
China’s Foreign Ministry has unleashed a fiery response to the U.S., warning Washington to stay out of Taiwan affairs and slamming the AUKUS pact as a threat to global stability. Spokesperson Guo Jiakun said the Taiwan issue is “purely China’s internal affair” and vowed that “no force will ever separate Taiwan from China.” The remarks came after Donald Trump’s comments downplaying invasion fears and his pledge to go “full steam ahead” with Australia’s nuclear sub deal. Beijing also hit out at new U.S. visa restrictions, calling them “hegemonic and arrogant.”
