Morocco Pledges Social Reforms After Gen Z Protests Rock Government | Firstpost Africa
Morocco has announced a series of social and political reforms following mass youth-led protests across the country. What began as demonstrations over inadequate health and social services escalated into wider calls for government accountability. In response, the government has introduced three draft bills aimed at improving public education and healthcare, encouraging youth participation in politics, and strengthening political parties with greater transparency and opportunities for women and young people. Nearly $13 million has been allocated to health and education, with plans to create over 27,000 jobs, renovate hospitals, expand preschools, and enhance teaching quality.
