Alberta teachers reject province’s mediation proposal
Tensions continue to escalate between the Alberta government and the teachers’ union.
 
This comes after the province requested that the union end the strike while a mediator is involved. However, teachers have rejected this proposal. Now, Premier Danielle Smith has indicated that back-to-work legislation is likely.
