House Speaker Johnson on ending the government shutdown
House Speaker Mike Johnson told CNBC on Thursday that he thinks protests planned for Saturday in Washington have “a lot to do” with bringing an end to the government shutdown, insisting Democrats will come to the negotiating table afterwards.

“We just need five Democrats in the Senate to join and do the right thing,” Johnson said.
