पाकिस्तान और अफ़ग़ानिस्तान के बीच तीन दिन की शांति के बाद फिर जंग छिड़ गई है. अफ़ग़ानिस्तान के तालिबान लड़ाकों ने बलोचिस्तान के चमन और ख़ैबर पख़्तूनख़्वाह के तोरख़म इलाक़ों में पाकिस्तान पर ज़बरदस्त हमला किया है. लाइट मशीनगन्स, लाइट howitzers और T-55 टैंकों से पाकिस्तान की चौकिय़ों को निशाना बनाया. तालिबान का दावा है कि उसके हमले में पाकिस्तान के दो दर्जन से ज्यादा सैनिक मारे गए और पाकिस्तानी सेना की कई चौकियां अब अफगान सेना के कब्जे में है. अफ़ग़ान तालिबान ने बलोचिस्तान से लेकर, ख़ैबर बॉर्डर तक बड़ी तादाद में अपने मुजाहिदीन तैनात किए हैं.
