French PM announces the pension reform will be suspended until the presidential election
In his address to French MPs, Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced the pension reform would be suspended until the 2027 presidential election. As he outlined the new government’s priorities, he also confirmed he would not be using the 49.3 law and wanted to build bridges beyond party lines.
