Trump’s Peace Deal Shaken? IDF ‘Opens Fire’ On Gazans Crossing Yellow Line; Violence In West Bank
Barely a day after Trump’s Gaza peace deal was signed in Egypt, violence flared again as Israeli forces reportedly opened fire on Palestinians in Gaza City’s Shejaiya neighborhood. According to local reports, five residents were killed after the IDF accused them of crossing the so-called “yellow line,” to which Israeli troops have withdrawn. The Israeli military claimed it fired only after attempts to disperse the group failed, insisting that no army positions were breached. The incident has sparked fears that the fragile ceasefire could unravel soon. Meanwhile, tensions in the West Bank escalated as Israeli settlers allegedly launched multiple attacks on Palestinian villages, burning vehicles and wounding several residents. No arrests have been reported. The renewed violence casts a shadow over Trump’s much-publicized peace summit, where leaders from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia had gathered to applaud what was hailed as a breakthrough truce.
