JPMorgan is doubling down on payments banking in India, as trade financing and transactional services transition towards digitization. “Synchronous movement of corporates is where banks can provide a combination of merchant services, trade finance, and treasury services,” Guhaprasath Rajagopal, India head of payments at the U.S. lender told ET NOW’s Anurag Joshi in an interview. “India is coming off a great year of exports. This combined with letters of credit and guarantees are moving to digital platforms.”
