Helicopter crash at Huntington Beach, California injures 5
Five people were injured after a helicopter crashed near a popular beach in southern California on Saturday, officials said.
 
Authorities responded to reports of a helicopter crash between Beach Boulevard and Twin Dolphin at Huntington Beach at 2 p.m., Battalion Chief of Huntington Beach Fire Department Matt Kubota said.
 
The helicopter was found “up against a bridge,” and five people were sent to receive medical treatment at the local hospital, Kubota added 
 
The helicopter was part of an annual “Cars ‘N Copters” fundraising event planned for Sunday, according to Huntington Beach Public Affairs Manager Corbin Carson. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
