Did a special pie help Joe Carter hit the World Series winning home run in ’93?
With that game-winning home run in the 1993 World Series, Joe Carter brought home a victory for the Toronto Blue Jays.
And at ‘Wanda’s Pie in the Sky’ in Kensington Market, owner Wanda Beaver says her shop played a part in that success.
“We take full responsibility and credit for that home run because Joe Carter ate a coconut cream pie, that we delivered that morning.”
