बरेली में एसओजी और तीन थानों की संयुक्त टीम ने मुठभेड़ में एक लाख के इनामी डकैत शैतान उर्फ इफ्तेखार को मार गिराया। शैतान पर कई जिलों में 19 मुकदमे दर्ज थे और वह 2012 में पुलिस कस्टडी से फरार हो गया था। मुठभेड़ में एक सिपाही घायल हुआ है और पुलिस ने मौके से हथियार, कारतूस और नकदी बरामद की है। शैतान दर्जनों नाम बदलकर पुलिस को गुमराह कर रहा था।

In Bareilly, a joint team of the Special Operations Group (SOG) and three police stations killed Shaitan, alias Iftekhar, a bandit with a bounty of one lakh rupees, in an encounter. Shaitan had 19 cases registered against him in several districts and had escaped from police custody in 2012. One constable was injured in the encounter, and police recovered weapons, ammunition, and cash from the scene. Shaitan had been misleading the police by changing dozens of names.
