Netherlands Protesters Seek To Press Government To Put More Pressure On Israel Over Gaza | #shorts
Thousands of people dressed in red gathered in Amsterdam on October 5 in the latest protest in the Netherlands seeking to press the government to take tougher action against Israel to end the nearly two-year war in Gaza. Two earlier demonstrations in The Hague, in May and June, drew tens of thousands of people. The protest and march through the Dutch capital comes less than four weeks before national elections. Hundreds of thousands of Italians and Spaniards marched in Rome, Barcelona and Madrid on October 4 in a show of growing international outrage at Israel’s two-year military campaign in Gaza. Smaller rallies took place in Paris, Lisbon, Athens and Skopje, North Macedonia, and in London and Manchester, England. More than 2 million people rallied on Friday in towns and cities across Italy in a one-day general strike to support the Palestinians in Gaza.
