‘Folk Music, Camel Stunts’: Jodhpur hosts Marwar Festival 2025 with heritage walk
Heritage walk was conducted as a part of Marwar Festival 2025 in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur on Oct 06. It has been organised by Department of Tourism and District Administration. Beautifully decorated camels, men, women, and kids dressed in traditional ‘Rajputana’ attire with weapons that hold stories of the great kings and queens of Rajasthan, showcased the cultural heritage of the state. The festival also featured traditional music as a part of the walk. Young children who showcased their talents in folk music with drums, flutes, and other traditional instruments set the theme for the festival.
“Rajasthan’s famous Marwad Mahotsav is being organised in Jodhpur…Various stunts and activities will be performed by the camel squad in the Maharaja Umaid Singh Stadium. This camel squad undergoes training at the BSF’s STC (Special Training Centre) in Jodhpur. They practice here all year long…,” said Ghewar Ram.
