एक बार फिर दशहरे पर जेएनयू जंग का मैदान बना नजर आया. विजयादशमी पर दुर्गा विसर्जन शोभायात्रा के दौरान एबीवीपी और लेफ्ट के बीच जमकार बवाल हुआ. बवाल इतना बढ़ा की शोभा यात्रा को चप्पले दिखाई गईं, लकड़ियां फेंकी गई… रावण के पुतले पर दिल्ली दंगे के आरोपी उमर खालिद और शरजील इमाम की फोटो लगाई गई. लेकिन सबसे बड़ा सवाल है कि कभी महिषासुर तो कभी रावण को लेकर. जेएनयू कैंपस जंग का मैदान क्यों बन जाता है.

Once again, JNU turned into a battleground during the Dussehra celebrations. A major clash erupted between the ABVP and the Left-wing student groups during the Durga idol immersion procession. The violence escalated to the point that shoes were thrown at the procession, and sticks were used to attack participants. Photos of Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam, accused in the Delhi riots, were even pasted on the effigy of Ravana. But the biggest question remains: why does the JNU campus always turn into a battleground, whether it’s about Mahishasura or Ravana?
