1925 में आज ही के दिन यानि विजयादशमी को महाराष्ट्र के नागपुर में राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ की शुरूआत हुई थी, आज संघ के सौ साल पूरे हो चुके हैं, जिसके उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में पहुंचे संघ प्रमुख मोहन भागवत ने संबोधन के दौरान कई मुद्दों पर बयान दिया, जिसमें कई बयान पर कुछ लोगों को ऐतराज हो सकता है, क्योंकि उन्होने कहा कि भारत सनातन काल से हिंदू राष्ट्र है जबकि कांग्रेस समेत कई पार्टियों को संघ के इस बयान से सहमति नहीं हो सकती है, उन्होने आगे कहा कि हिंदू समाज का संगठित होना सुरक्षा की गारंटी है, क्योंकि अशांति फैलाने वाली ताकतें देश के अंदर और बाहर मौजूद हैं, तो अब सवाल उठता है कि क्या भारत में रहने वालों की संस्कृति एक है, भागवत ने क्यों कहा, हिंदू है तो भारत है, मजबूत हिंदू सुरक्षा की गारंटी क्यों हैं और किससे है.
On this day in 1925, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was founded in Nagpur, Maharashtra, during the festival of Vijayadashami. Today marks the organization’s centenary, and at the commemorative event, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat delivered a speech addressing several issues. Some of his statements may be controversial, as he asserted that India has been a Hindu nation since ancient times—a claim that many political parties, including the Congress, may not agree with. He further stated that a united Hindu society is a guarantee of security, as disruptive forces exist both within and outside the country. This raises questions: Is there a single, unified culture among all those living in India? Why did Bhagwat say, “If there is Hinduism, there is India”? And why does a strong Hindu community guarantee security, and from whom?
