रविवार को एशिया कप के फ़ाइनल के बाद ट्रॉफी लेकर भागने वाले, पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड के चेयरमैन और गृह मंत्री मोहसिन नक़वी अभी भी भारत को ट्रॉफी देने के लिए तैयार नहीं हैं. मोहसिन नक़वी ने भारत को एशिया कप की ट्रॉफी देने के लिए अब एक नई शर्त रखी है. नक़वी ने कहा है कि वो टीम इंडिया को ट्रॉफी देने को राज़ी हैं. लेकिन, अवार्ड सेरेमनी फिर से हो और उसका LIVE टेलीकास्ट किया जाए और वो अपने हाथों से ही टीम इंडिया को ट्रॉफी दें. मोहसिन नक़वी, भारत के प्लेयर्स के जीते हुए मेडल भी अपने हाथ से देने पर अड़े हैं. आज दुबई में एशियन क्रिकेट काउंसिल की एनुअल जनरल मीटिंग हुई. इस मीटिंग में BCC के वाइस प्रेसिडेंट राजीव शुक्ला और ट्रेज़रर आशीष शेलार शामिल हुए. भारत ने एशियन क्रिकेट काउंसिल से एशिया कप की ट्रॉफी नहीं मिलने पर कड़ा ऐतराज़ जताया. BCCI के अधिकारियों ने कहा कि भारत ने कप जीता है और ट्रॉफी पर उसी का अधिकार है. भारतीय टीम को ट्रॉफी मिलनी चाहिए और ACC चेयरमैन मोहसिन नक़वी, ट्रॉफी को तुरंत BCCI और टीम इंडिया के हवाले करें BCCI के वाइस चेयरमैन, राजीव शुक्ला ने कहा कि ट्रॉफी एशियन क्रिकेट काउंसिल की है किसी की निजी बपौती नहीं जो उसको अपने घर ले जाए होटल में अपने कमरे में रख ले राजीव शुक्ला ने इस बात की भी शिकायत की कि ACC ने भारत को एशिया कप जीतने पर मुबारकबाद भी नहीं दी थी.

The Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman and Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, who famously snatched the trophy after the Asia Cup final on Sunday, is still unwilling to hand it over to India. Naqvi has now put forward a new condition for handing over the Asia Cup trophy to India. He has said that he is willing to give the trophy to Team India, but only if there is a re-arranged award ceremony, which is televised live, and that he personally hand the trophy to the Indian team. Naqvi is also insisting on personally handing over the individual player medals to the Indian team. The Asian Cricket Council’s Annual General Meeting was held in Dubai today. BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla and Treasurer Ashish Shelar attended the meeting. India strongly protested to the Asian Cricket Council regarding the non-delivery of the Asia Cup trophy. BCCI officials stated that India won the cup and therefore has the right to the trophy. The Indian team should receive the trophy, and ACC Chairman Mohsin Naqvi should immediately hand it over to the BCCI and Team India. BCCI Vice Chairman Rajiv Shukla said that the trophy belongs to the Asian Cricket Council, not to any individual who can take it home or keep it in their hotel room. Shukla also complained that the ACC did not even congratulate India on winning the Asia Cup.
