Former French President Sarkozy guilty of criminal conspiracy in Libyan corruption case
Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy has been sentenced to five years in prison.
That’s after a Paris court found him guilty of criminal conspiracy.
The case related to illegal Libyan financing of campaign funds ahead of his 2007 presidential campaign.
He was acquitted of all other charges.
Sarkozy has denied all allegations.
