Ukraine Unleashes ‘Toloka’ Sea Drone Capable of Targeting Crimea Bridge, Puts Putin On High Alert
Ukraine has unveiled its new Toloka sea drone series, featuring three variants: TLK-150, TLK-400, and TLK-1000. The drones have ranges from 1,200 km to 2,000 km and payload capacities up to 500 kg, according to Defense Express. The TLK-150 is designed for stealth operations just below the surface, while the larger TLK-400 and TLK-1000 variants can strike strategic targets at extended ranges. President Volodymyr Zelensky first showcased the Toloka at the February Support Ukraine Summit, highlighting its ability to target ships, ports, and Russian strategic sites. Experts warn the drone could pose a serious threat to the Crimea (Kerch) Bridge, a critical transport route for Russian forces, and note that Toloka may have been used in Ukraine’s June attacks on the bridge. Kyiv has steadily expanded its naval drone fleet since the war began in 2022, signaling growing maritime capabilities.
