In Jammu and Kashmir, too, the pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi was suspended due to inclement weather, heavy rains, landslides, and flash floods. Many pilgrims had to return disappointed. Now, after being suspended for 22 days, the pilgrimage has resumed today. Devotees from across the country were seen standing in queues, chanting “Jai Mata Di.”
