Jair Bolsonaro coup verdict: Former president sentenced to more than 27 years
In a historic trial, Brazil’s former president, Jair Bolsonaro, has been sentenced to more than 27 years in prison for plotting a coup. The Supreme Court found Bolsonaro guilty of trying to overturn the results of the 2022 election, which he lost to current President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva.
