Industry Minister Mélanie Joly says the federal government is committing “hundreds of millions of dollars” to Canada’s aluminum sector, which has been slammed by U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs.

Joly’s announcement was made in Quebec, where nearly all of Canada’s aluminum is produced.
