जब पानी ठहर जाता है तो सड़ जाता है…पानी का बहना जरूरी है। यही नियम धर्म, संस्कृति, मान्यताओं और परंपराओं के साथ भी लागू होता है। वरना वही होता है जो कल कश्मीर के हजरतबल में हुआ और अब अफगानिस्तान में भूकंप के बाद हो रहा है। यहां इस्लामिक मान्यताओं की गलत समझ की वजह से मलबों में दबी हुई महिलाएं मौत के मुंह में जा रही हैं, उन्हें बचाया नहीं जा रहा है। अफगानिस्तान में भूकंप से अब तक 2200 लोगों की जान जा चुकी है। कई लोग मलबे में दबे हैं, जिनमें औरतें भी हैं। लेकिन अफगानिस्तान में तालिबान ने शरिया कानून लागू किया हुआ है। इसके तहत किसी औरत को कोई गैर-मर्द छू नहीं सकता। यह हराम होता है, गुनाह होता है। न्यूयॉर्क टाइम्स की एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक सिर्फ इसी इकलौती वजह से यहां जिंदगी और मौत से जूझ रही महिलाओं को बचाने कोई सामने नहीं आ रहा है। महिलाओं को मलबे में ही छोड़ दिया जा रहा है। यहां महिला बचावकर्मी की कमी है और पुरुष महिलाओं को छू भी नहीं सकते। यही वजह है कि मलबे में दबी महिलाओं को बचाने वाला कोई नहीं है।और अगर पुरुष बचावकर्मी की करुणा जागती भी है तब भी वह मलबे में दबी महिलाओं के कपड़े खींचकर निकालने की कोशिश करते हैं, ताकि स्किन टच न हो सके। ऐसे में कई बार खींचकर निकालना संभव नहीं हो पाता और महिलाओं की जान चली जाती है।

There is a shortage of female rescue workers here and men cannot even touch women. This is the reason why there is no one to save the women buried under the rubble. And even if the male rescuer feels compassion, he tries to pull out the clothes of the women buried under the rubble so that there is no skin touch. In such a situation, many times it is not possible to pull them out and the women lose their lives.
