In a brazen assault on communities across Qua’an Pan LGA in Plateau State, Nigeria, gunmen razed 30 homes—displacing over 300 people—and left barns and crops destroyed. Earlier attacks in Fili village resulted in the deaths of four herders. The local government chairman, Christopher Manship, has deployed security forces and convened a meeting with traditional and religious leaders to restore peace.
Though no fatalities were reported in this latest round of violence, the loss of shelter and livelihood has sent shockwaves through farming communities, deepening tensions in a region already reeling from instability.
