यमुनानगर में पहाड़ों पर भारी वर्षा के कारण यमुना नदी का जलस्तर बढ़कर 3 लाख 29 हजार क्यूसेक तक पहुँच गया जिससे बाढ़ की स्थिति उत्पन्न हो गई। हरियाणा और उत्तर प्रदेश की नहरों की सप्लाई रोक दी गई है और कई गांवों में पानी भर गया है। तटबंध टूटने से फसलों को भारी नुकसान हुआ है और सुरक्षा दीवार में दरारें आ गई हैं।
