Massive cloudburst hits Uttarakhand’s Chamoli, severe damage to houses, several feared trapped
Massive cloudburst hits Tharali town of of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand. The flash floods have caused lots of damage, leaving a woman buried while a man missing with several others feared to be trapped. NDRF and SDRF teams moved to the spot for relief and rescue work, while several relief camps have been set up in the affected area. Chamoli’s road has been blocked due to the floods causing added problems to the locals. The debris has reached inside people’s houses, including the SDM’s house. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami is constantly monitoring the situation and is in contact with local administration, he informed on social media platform ‘X’. Chamoli’s ADM shared updates on rescue and relief work in the area after the tragic cloudburst.
