Oil prices slipped on Tuesday as traders eyed potential peace talks involving Moscow, Kyiv, and Washington, which could ease sanctions on Russian crude. Brent fell to $66 a barrel while WTI dropped to $62. Gold steadied near $3,380/oz as markets awaited clarity from the Jackson Hole Symposium, with Fed Chair Jerome Powell expected to address rate cut prospects. Copper hovered around $9,750/ton, iron ore fell on weaker Chinese demand, and US natural gas slid near $2.8/MMBtu amid strong supply.
