J&K: BSF women wing steps up security along LoC for Independence Day, patrolling intensified
Ahead of Independence Day, the Border Security Force (BSF) has been placed on high alert and deployed female soldiers in the Gurez sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez sector of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. Security forces including the army have increased vigilance to prevent infiltration or disturbance attempts. The BSF has intensified patrolling, area domination exercises, and alertness along the LoC. Patrolling and ambushes are being conducted in vulnerable areas. Female soldiers are deployed for frisking vehicles and women. BSF has stated that measures are in place to prevent incidents and maintain peace in the region. Security arrangements have been reinforced not only in Gurez but also in other sensitive areas of Jammu and Kashmir. Coordination between BSF, Army, and local police has been strengthened to enable swift response in case of any eventuality.
