Ontario family sells everything for shot to save their 2-year-old from rare disease

A family from Barrie, Ontario, is selling everything in order to get their child potentially life-saving treatment in Texas.

Generalized Arterial Calcification of Infancy (GACI) is a rare genetic disease that primarily affects the circulatory system. It causes an abnormal buildup of calcium in artery walls, causing narrowed vessels, high blood pressure, and heart failure in infants.

As Caryn Lieberman reports, the child has been approved for a clinical trial there because there are no options for her in Canada.
