BJP बीजेपी को अगर बंगाल में भगवा लहराना है तो पहले फेज की 152 सीटों में से 100+ सीटों पर परचम लहराना होगा क्योंकि इस फेज में ज्यादातर ऐसी सीटें हैं, ऐसे इलाके हैं जहां 2021 में बीजेपी ने बेहतर प्रदर्शन किया था. कहने को इस फेज में मुस्लिम डोमिनेंस वाले इलाके हैं. लेकिन बीजेपी को इस बार हिंदू वोटर्स पर पूरा यकीन है. अभी तक बंगाल में हिंदुओं का एकमुश्त वोट बीजेपी को नहीं मिलता. मुसलमान जहां एकमुश्त वोट करते हैं वहीं हिंदू वोट बंगाली और नॉन बंगाली में बंट जाता रहा है.
If the BJP aims to hoist the saffron flag in Bengal, it must secure victory in over 100 of the 152 seats contested in the first phase; this is because the phase comprises predominantly those constituencies and regions where the party delivered a strong performance in 2021. Although this phase nominally includes areas with a significant Muslim presence, the BJP places its complete confidence in the Hindu electorate this time around. Historically, the BJP has not received a consolidated block of Hindu votes in Bengal; while the Muslim community tends to vote en masse, the Hindu vote has traditionally remained divided along the lines of Bengali versus non-Bengali identities.
