China is condemning senior Japanese officials, including Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, who have sent offerings to the Yasukuni Shrine. The monument is widely seen as symbol of Japan’s wartime aggression that enshrines Class-A war criminals. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun on Wednesday denounced the actions.
