ईरान स्टोन एज में चला जाएगा, ऐसा हमला होगा कि ईरान को उबरने में 20 साल लग जाएंगे. ईरान का नामो निशान मिट जाएगा, ये वो धमकियां हैं जो ट्रंप रह रहकर ईरान को देते रहते थे. लेकिन जैसे ही सीज़फ़ायर की मियाद ख़त्म होने वाली थी वैसे ही ट्रंप बैकफुट पर आ गए और अब तो उन्होंने अनिश्चित काल के लिए सीज़फ़ायर को बढ़ा दिया है. हालांकि सभी अनुमान यही लगा रहे थे कि ट्रंप ईरान के आगे झुक जाएंगे और हुआ भी वही. सीज़फ़ायर के लिए ट्रंप ने मुनीर और शहबाज़ का कंधा यूज़ किया है.

Iran will be wiped off the face of the earth”—these are the threats that Trump repeatedly issued against Iran. However, just as the ceasefire was about to expire, Trump found himself on the back foot, and he has now extended the ceasefire indefinitely. Although everyone had predicted that Trump would eventually yield to Iran, that is precisely what came to pass. In securing this ceasefire, Trump effectively used Munir and Shahbaz as proxies.
