Along the edge of the #Taklamakan Desert in northwest China’s #Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, giant perfect green circles are appearing in the sand. Each circle cuts through the desert like a living oasis. In one of the driest places on Earth, 8,000 mu of winter wheat are thriving, thanks to 380-meter-long center-pivot sprinklers rotating day and night.
