During election campaigning in West Bengal today, Smriti Irani launched scathing attacks on the TMC. Speaking in Kolkata, Smriti questioned how the TMC—the very party that defeated the Women’s Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha—could possibly claim to be a champion of women. Smriti further remarked that the party responsible for holding judges hostage is now alleging that the BJP is intimidating the public.
