In 1972, at the age of 26, Zheng Xiuqian entered the Hunan Museum for the first time. When he saw the Han Dynasty lacquerware unearthed from the Mawangdui tombs, he was deeply moved. Later, he decided to dedicate his life to the art of lacquerware.
