Europe has 6 weeks of jet fuel left, says IEA director
“In Europe, we have maybe six weeks or so of jet fuel left,” said International Energy Agency chief Fatih Birol on Thursday (Apr 16), warning that flight cancellations could happen “soon” if oil supplies remain blocked by the Iran war. He added that countries with weaker economies could face high inflation and even recession if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened by the end of May.
