Blood donations in Singapore: Demand for blood could outstrip supply in as early as 7 years
Singapore could face a blood supply crisis in as early as seven years, due to an ageing population and rising cancer rates. To address this challenge, authorities announced a slew of initiatives. This includes a new Healthpoints reward programme – where points can be redeemed for e-vouchers – to attract and retain blood donors while improving convenience to boost supply.
