मोदी सरकार 2029 के लोकसभा चुनाव से पहले संसद और विधानसभाओं में महिला आऱक्षण लागू करना चाहती है. इसके लिए दो दिन के बाद 16 अप्रैल को संसद में नारी शक्ति वंदन अधिनियम में amendment बिल लाया जाएगा. प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने सभी दलों से इस बिल को पूरा सपोर्ट देने की अपील की. दिल्ली में नारी शक्ति वंदन सम्मेलन हुआ. इसमें प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि ये बिल पास होना आज़ाद भारत के इतिहास का सबसे बड़ा क़दम होगा.

The Modi government aims to implement women’s reservation in Parliament and State Assemblies before the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. To this end, an amendment bill to the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam will be introduced in Parliament on April 16—two days from now. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to all political parties to extend their full support to this bill. A ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Conference’ was held in Delhi, during which the Prime Minister stated that the passing of this bill would mark the most significant step in the history of independent India.
