Singapore building model to predict algae blooms that threaten fish supply
Singapore is using technology to help farmers predict harmful algae blooms in surrounding waters that can wipe out their fish stocks. It will allow farmers to better prepare for and respond to such incidents. The Singapore Food Agency expects the move to strengthen local fish supply, which in turn, will help to stabilise seafood prices during import disruptions. Eugene Chow reports.
