US Vice President Vance holds talks with Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif to end US-Israel war on Iran
Talks underway in Islamabad to stop the war on Iran amid a two-week ceasefire. The US delegation is led by Vice President JD-Vance. It includes special envoy Steve Witkoff and President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Ghalibaf heads his country’s team, which includes Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi. This is the first-such meeting since the war on Iran started more than a month ago. Iran has set out preconditions ahead of discussions, while Mr Vance warns Tehran not to, quote, “play” with America. Hira Mustafa reports from Islamabad.
