China starts construction on farthest offshore wind farm #coolchina
#China began building its farthest #offshore wind farm on April 9, 89 kilometers off the coast of Yangjiang City in Guangdong Province. The 500 MW farm uses 31 turbines of 16.2 MW with intelligent operation expected to boost power generation by 1-2% and cut failure rates by 20%.
