Cunaripo T20 Tournament Brings Community Together
The Cunaripo Recreational Grounds came alive Saturday night, as residents gathered for a T20 cricket tournament aimed at uniting the community, particularly its youth.

Member of Parliament for Cumuto/Manzanilla, Shivanna Sam, praised the initiative, saying it has already received strong and positive feedback.

Scores of residents of Cunaripo in Sangre Grande and surrounding areas gathered for the second annual T20 Championship at the Cunaripo Recreational Grounds on Saturday night.

Several teams competed in the tournament, with All Star Sports and Cultural Club facing Knight Raiders in the finals.

Speaking to TTT News, Member of Parliament for Cumuto/Manzanilla Shivanna Sam praised the initiative, saying the event has been generating positive feedback from both residents and participants.

Also in attendance was Minister of Defence and Member of Parliament for Toco/Sangre Grande, Wayne Sturge, who welcomed the strong community involvement, describing it as a positive sign of unity and support.

Meanwhile, businessman Preston Sam highlighted the importance of corporate and community support for sporting initiatives.

The Knight Raiders emerged champions and walked away with $12,000, while an award was also presented for the Youth Player of the Tournament.
