Tamil Nadu Polls: PM Roadshow In Puducherry, Vijay Enters Fray; Congress Releases Candidate List #NDTV

The electoral contest in Puducherry is shaping into a triangular fight between the NDA, the Congress-led INDIA bloc, and actor-turned-politician Vijay’s TVK. While the NDA looks to retain power, challenges remain, including the long-pending demand for statehood and internal dissent within the Congress, where rebel candidates are contesting.

Senior leaders including Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi are set to campaign in the coming days, intensifying the political battle.

In Tamil Nadu, both BJP and Congress have released candidate lists. Tamilisai Soundararajan will contest from Mylapore, while BJP state president Nainar Nagendran shifts constituencies. The Congress has fielded 12 sitting MLAs and introduced 12 new faces.
