White House seeks $1.5T US for defence, suggests cuts to NASA in new budget request
U.S. President Donald Trump is asking Congress for $1.5 trillion US for defence as part of the 2027 fiscal budget request, the White House said Friday. If enacted, that amount would set United States military spending at its highest level in modern history. The budget request also proposes a 23 per cent cut to NASA in 2027.
