.. 20 दिन बाद बंगाल में पहले चरण की वोटिंग है.. लेकिन उससे पहले बंगाल में जबरदस्त बवाल है.. कभी आसनसोल में मंदिर तोड़फोड़ की जाती है.. तो भी मुर्शिदाबाद में शोभायात्रा पर बवाल होता है.. हद तो तब हो गई.. जब मालदा में सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश पर जांच करने पहुंचे ज्यूडिशियल मजिस्ट्रेटों को बंधक बना लिया जाता है.. सुप्रीम कोर्ट को हस्तक्षेप करना पड़ता है.. तब बंगाल पुलिस जागती है.. उपद्रवियों के चंगुल से 7 न्यायिक अधिकारियों को छुड़वाया जाता है.. सुप्रीम कोर्ट की सख्ती के बाद भी मालदा में विरोध प्रदर्शन होता है.. SIR को लेकर उपद्रव होता है..ऐसा नहीं है कि बवाल सिर्फ मालदा में हुआ.. कूच बिहार से लेकर दुर्गापुर तक हंगामा हुआ.. TMC और बीजेपी के कार्यकर्ताओं में झड़प हुई..

One moment, a temple is vandalized in Asansol; the next, a procession in Murshidabad sparks an uproar. Matters reached a critical point when judicial magistrates—who had arrived in Malda to conduct an inquiry pursuant to a Supreme Court order—were taken hostage. The Supreme Court was compelled to intervene; only then did the Bengal Police finally spring into action. Seven judicial officers were subsequently rescued from the clutches of the rioters. Even in the wake of the Supreme Court’s stern intervention, protests continued in Malda, with fresh disturbances erupting over the issue of FIRs. It was not as if the unrest was confined solely to Malda; pandemonium prevailed across the state, stretching from Cooch Behar all the way to Durgapur, as clashes broke out between workers of the TMC and the BJP.
