Singapore resumes shooting crows after 6-year hiatus
Crow-shooting operations are back after a 6-year hiatus in Singapore, starting with 9 districts, including Jurong, Bishan, Punggol, Tampines, Toa Payoh and Yishun.
The shootings are carried out by licensed wildlife management contractors under safety measures that include only shooting upwards and enforcing a cordon using safety cones, red-and-white tape and clear signage.
NParks says shooting is a last resort after they tried trapping, nest removal and reducing food sources for the birds.
