War on Iran: Macron, Takaichi agree to work to restore freedom of navigation in Strait of Hormuz
The leaders of France and Japan have pledged to step up coordination to help end the Iran war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. French President Emmanuel Macron, who is in Tokyo, addressed why it matters to work together to ensure energy security. Both countries have been grappling with higher energy costs, with 90 per cent of Japan’s crude oil supply passing through the waterway. Ross Cullen reports from Paris.
